These Terms of Service govern your use of HouseTab, a roommate and household finance application operated by Rotenberger Ventures LLC.

By using HouseTab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

Use of HouseTab

HouseTab is designed to help households track shared expenses, balances, recurring bills, receipts, and related household financial information.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into HouseTab, including expenses, payments, balances, invite codes, and household details.

Accounts and Households

You may need to create an account to use HouseTab. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Household owners and members are responsible for managing their own household settings, invite codes, expenses, and member access.

No Financial Institution Relationship

HouseTab is not a bank, lender, money transmitter, payment processor, debt collector, financial advisor, or accounting firm.

HouseTab helps users track information between household members, but it does not move money, process payments, enforce debts, or guarantee that any person will pay another person.

User Content

You may enter or upload content including names, expenses, receipts, notes, household details, and recurring bill information.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to enter or upload that content and that it does not violate the rights of others or applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse HouseTab, attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access, interfere with the operation of the service, upload malicious content, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Availability and Changes

HouseTab may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rotenberger Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of HouseTab.

HouseTab is provided as-is and is intended as an organizational tool. You remain responsible for verifying balances, payments, and household financial decisions.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to HouseTab if we believe a user has violated these Terms or used the service in a harmful, abusive, or unlawful way.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
